Install & Configuration

We are the OG miners, and we remember the times when the mining game was hard. Having this in mind, we made our own mining OS. No more hassle, no more unneeded software, no more complicated OC procedures, Windows updates, and forced driver updates! Control your mining rigs or entire farms, from ONE place, using the dashboard. Choose your mining software, put in your address, select the rigs you want to use, and watch your wallets get full!

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum system requirements:

4GB RAM (RX Vega, RX 5700 , RX 6800, RX 6900 min 6GB RAM)
8GB drive (HDD/SSD/USB)

Recommended system requirements:

8GB RAM
8GB SSD

Download latest SMOS version

Now that you have established that you can use our OS, download our latest version:

Installing SMOS

Installing SMOS to a minimum 8GB USB (For Maximum Utilization use 3.0/3.1 USB or any SSD disk), steps:

  1. Download the latest version of SMOS Linux for your cards
  2. Unpack the downloaded SMOS-Linux-xxx.xz file
  3. Install SMOS on USB/SSD using balena Etcher tool (supports Windows, Linux, and macOS) - Run As Administrator
  4. Plug-In your USB/SSD on your computer/laptop and open CONFIG partition

How to Start

Setup SMOS in just a few minutes, steps:

  1. Open file miner.cfg located on CONFIG partition plugged on your computer/laptop (Not the Rig)
  2. Change "your_email_adress_goes_here@example.com" to your e-mail address inside quotes (Don't delete quotes inside miner.cfg file)
  3. Save the file and safely remove USB/SSD
  4. Plug-In SMOS USB/SSD on your rig and start
  5. The final step is to register on SMOS Control Center (SMOS CC)
  6. Go to Sign Up page and Create an Account with the same e-mail address you have entered in miner.cfg file
  7. Additional documents and tips on how to use (Profiles, GPU overclocking, Software list, etc.) read here

You're all set

After the steps mentioned above, your rig will appear in SMOS Control Center. Access the SMOS CC and navigate trough controls of your rig.
